Seres contributes to the rationalization of the accounting division at La Brosse et Dupont
Descriptif article

Brush-maker founded in 1845 in Beauvais (Oise), the company La Brosse et Dupont is today the European leader for its activity on 4 ranges: Hairstyle, House, Hygiene-Beauty and Dry Goods. These 4 ranges keep the historical “brush”: hairbrushes, dishbrushes, nailbrushes, shoe brushes,…
With 300,000 invoices sent every year (i.e. 1,200, 000 pages excluding duplicates), La Brosse et Dupont represented one of the biggest source of paper-invoices for its customer-retailers. Dematerialization naturally appeared as a means of saving paper and optimizing customer service.
At that time uses of EDI rose in France and the company already mastered several messages (ORDERS, DESADV). By 2005 La Brosse et Dupont decided to send e-invoices and was helped by Seres, whose solution of e-invoicing is qualified by GS1 France.
25% of e-invoices without any paper in 2011
Seres acquired sent and received INVOIC messages management of La Brosse et Dupont in accordance with interoperability standards and with the French tax laws (“article 289 bis” from the French Tax Code). By 2006, Carrefour received e-invoices without any paper in parallel. La Brosse et Dupont sends today in France 25% of its e-invoices without any paper in parallel (in Spain: 23%, in Portugal: 6%, and in Belgium: 87%).
Antoine d' Hérouville, Chief information officer of La Brosse et Dupont, notices significant advantages in sending e-invoices. “Using EDI through e-invoicing without any paper is about 25% cheaper compared to traditional invoicing process with paper. 10% of this gain is due to saved time. ” The rate of contentious invoices, valued at 1 contentious invoice out of 1000 sent off paper-invoices, “disappears completely with complete e-invoicing.”
